About Me

I am the most deplorable autobiographer. Ever.
Considering that fact, I think it’s in everyone’s best interest if I keep this short and sweet. I’m originally from a small town in Ohio where life tends to plateau after about 7th grade. I double-majored in astrophysics and psychology in college. After developing sites for friends and small companies as a hobby, decided to pursue programming in a professional capacity. I am, amongst other things, endlessly dedicated to doing things “the right way” and paying attention to detail, and despite the fact that most of us programmers think we know everything, I am constantly reading, learning, and expanding upon my skills.
I am a Ruby/Rails, PHP/CakePHP, Javascript/jQuery, XHTML, and CSS professional. I dabble in Python/Django when the mood strikes and I have been known to do a fair amount of C++/LPC and Bash scripting. I’m always on the lookout for new languages, technologies, methods, and whatnot. I am also (frustratingly) a Linux SA and spend more time typing in a console than I’d care to admit to.
I work for Situation Interactive, a major interactive agency in Times Square, as the development supervisor, which keeps me pretty busy (an understatement). Whenever I have time, though, I try to be as available as possible for consulting on various technologies, platforms, and ideas. I am not currently taking on clients. Advice is free, though, so if you have questions, feel free to email me or fill out the form on my contact page and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
